Sunnyvale United 4-1 South San Francisco A.C. |
PSL-Premier Div.

Mayfield Park, Palo Alto
Match Comments:
It was the tale of 2 halves...after a 0-0 opening 45 minutes, Sunnyvale struck for 2 quick goals inside the first 7 minutes on the second half on their way to a 4-1 win over SSFAC at Mayfield Park in Palo Alto. SSFAC did bounce back scoring a goal off a free kick from approximately 25 yards out. Stephen Shaw-Smith served a beautiful cross to the far post where it found the head of Fabio Marques who powered it past the keeper for 2-1. Unfortunately a hand ball in the area led to a penalty kick goal for United, and a last minute goal put the game away. SSFAC outshot their opponents 17-9, but were unable to get another one past the Sunnyvale keeper. The team returns home for only their 2nd home game of the season when they play Shaheen at Orange Memorial Park on Sunday November 1st at 10:00 am
