SSFAC responded with a much needed win on Sunday night in Redwood City as they defeated JASA RWC Reserves by a score of 3-1. Greg Hui opened the scoring in the 3rd minute after winning the ball off a press and then depositing it in the JASA net. JASA fought back and leveled the score at minute 18 with a nice shot from outside the box.
South City retook the lead as Neehar Mukne recorded his first of the season with an incredible curling shot from about 22 yards out that found the top of the cage with the assist coming from Michael Wheaton.
The second half began with South City up by 2-1 and looking to put their foot down and close out the match with solid possesion and tremendous defense. The finisher came in the 65th minute when Fernando Costa also recoreded his first goal of the season from a corner kick sent in by Jr Pedemonte.
After getting this big victory, SSF now turns its attention to Saturday November 12th when they travel up to San Francisco to play Dublin Celtic FC at Beach Chalet with game time set for 4:10pm
