SSFAC ran into a hot team last week as ASC Silicon Valley ran away in the first half with 5 goals to basically put the game away early. South City was a bit shorthanded going into the match, but Silicon Valley was determined to show why they are the Pacific Premier Champs.
SSFAC didn't quit though as they played ASC even in the 2nd half with both teams scoring 3 times to make the final score 8-3. South City came out in the 2nd half and played to gain some momentum going into the final week of the season. Just 7 minutes into the 2nd half, Greg Hui put SSF on the board as he heads home a nice lofted ball from 30 yards out by Libardo Torres-Salazar. Just 6 minutes later, Hui made a run and drew a foul just outside the box next to the touch line. Hui hit it hard and low across the box to a waiting Michael Wheaton who pounced on it and fired it in from a close range.
South City's final tally came form a Jack Snowdon through ball from inside his own half and lofted it over the top to Hui who ran to it and fired a poweful shot past the keeper.
The second half effort left the team with a positive feeling as they head into their final game of the season which will take place on Sunday evening December 10th at Dublin Sports Ground when they meet Dublin Celtic FC. Game time is 8:00pm
