ASC Silicon Valley took a 3-1 first half lead and powered their way to a 7-1 win over SSFAC on a cold and rainy night in Redwood City last Saturday. SSF got themselves back into the match from 3-0 down when Brendan Cadam intercepted a pass, played it to Souleymane Yattara who found Aidan Durgerian on the left wing for a curling first time finish into the far corner. Unfortunately for South City, that is all they could muster in their attempts on goal as ASC put the game away in half number two.
The challenge to stay alive in the Group Stage now gets a little tougher as the final match in Round One is against Battleborn FC from Reno Nevada, the NISA Nation, Pacific Division Champs. The match takes place on Sunday, January 21st @ El Camino High School with kickoff set for 12:30pm
