JSC JASA Tops SSFAC 6-2 in a Pacific Premier Match Sunday. Click Here for Recap
SSFAC returned home Sunday, but JSC JASA made sure to disrupt the occasion. They scored early and then survived a tying goal from SSF newcomer Ferdi Ghafury as they ran off to a 4-1 halftime lead. South City played well and had numerous chances to score, but as has been the case at times this season, they just couldn't finish those opportunites.
Mistakes in coverage and some breakdowns on defense led to the scoring chances for JASA as they scored twice off corner kicks and a loss of possesion in the back, and then closed out the scoring late with a finish off a free kick.
Neehar Mukne tallied South City's 2nd goal with an assist from Rahi Miraftab-Salo. The score doesn't really tell the whole picture of the match as SSF had some quality play and were playing at a very good level for a good portion of the game. Still a work in progress as the team gets comfortable with all the new players that have joined this year and will make this roster one to take notice of going forward.
Up next is another match away from home as SSFAC travels to Sunnyvale on Saturday, October 18th to battle Silicon Valley FC at Fair Oaks Park. Kickoff is set for 8:00pm
