Game Comments:

A good win slipped away from SSFAC on Sunday when a penalty kick was awarded to Palo Alto SC in the 3rd minute of added time. The converted kick, given because of a controversial hand ball call in the area, allowed PASC to  earn a 1-1 tie. South City opened the scoring in the 1st minute when Gareth Lea scored after a poor clearance by the PASC goal keeper. The lead held up until the 93rd minute. It was a tough game and very physical, which led to an unfortunate injury to center back Nick Lammers who suffered a broken nose when stuck by an elbow to the face.

SSF had numerous chances to score and put the game away, but just couldn't get their shots on target. Shane Kutaka, Reuben Wartens, Jimmy Santana & Jovi Amirkiai had big games for South City. Club Sport Maritimo is up next for SSF on Sunday Feb 22nd at El Camino High with kickoff at 1:00 pm
