Best XI 1954-1983 |
In 1954, the South San Francisco Athletic Club officially formed under the direction of Player / Coach Alvaro Bettucchi. As the team began to take shape, it's early beginnings brought together some of best talent in South City. Some of the players from this time period saw their journey begin while playing with the SSF Recreation Team prior to 1954, and then continued at one of the two High Schools, South San Francisco or El Camino High. From there, many went on to play for the South San Francisco Athletic Club as the team joined the Peninsula Soccer League in 1957. Listed below is Coach Bettucchi's All Time Best XI, with a little information about each player. Also shown is the Second Team. On the "Hall of Stars" page in the menu bar, you will find the names of many of the Charter members of SSFAC who provided us with so many great memories over the years.
